Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer counselling that isn't perinatal related?
Yes! While much of this work is rooted in the perinatal space, general counselling sessions are also available for individuals who are simply looking for a safe, supportive place to land. I have a particular passion for working with women and members of the 2SLGBTQI+ community who are navigating trauma, life transitions, or experiences that have felt too heavy to carry alone. This includes, but is not limited to, religious and spiritual trauma, substance use, identity, relationships, and the many complicated ways that life can ask more of us than we feel equipped to give. Wherever you are starting from, you are welcome here.
Can I claim my receipt on my income tax?
Yes! Registered social workers are recognized as ‘medical practitioners’ under the Income Tax Act. This means you can claim your counselling or your family counselling on your income tax return.

What will our first session be like?
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for our work together. We’ll review important policies such as confidentiality, discuss what has brought you to counselling, and explore your goals for the process. This session serves as a starting point for your counselling journey.
